Book Review of 'Look What You Made Me Do: A Memoir' by Tina Fey and Robert Carlock'Look What You Made Me Do: A Memoir' by Tina Fey and Robert Carlock is the story of the infidelity and its effects on both T.J. and Tina's relationship. It features several humorous moments that come to life in the pages of this novel. But what is the greatest strength of the book?Well, for starters, the plot is really funny and features the famous funny female character T.J. as well as the most common man in the story, a flirty young man. Of course, this is very funny to read about but it is not exactly a novel that anyone would enjoy reading. The main problem with the book is that you are forced to read it just to get to the plot of the story but once you finally get there, you are left wanting more of it.The humor in the book is mainly created by two things: the two funniest women in Hollywood, Leslie Odom, Jr. and Fey, and their interactions with each other. If you watch their films, you will see th at they are constantly joking around with each other and with the people around them.With some great screenplay and powerful comedy, the story is entertaining and interesting, which is what you want from your novel. Unfortunately, the story did not help me appreciate the true greatness of this book. The plot is too-good-to-be-true and what we know about the true love between T.J. and Tina in real life are all part of the plot, that we have seen from the first pages of the book, which makes this book lose what it is truly.In fact, I think that when you read this book as a comedy, it is still a novel but it is a novel that had some great comedy. The story starts from how T.J. and Tina met and how T.J became her husband and of course, how it turned out in the end. The plot eventually involves the work of two famous Hollywood attorneys and how they handle their case and ultimately win it.In fact, I found it really interesting to read about the things that are happening around Hollywood and how everything became so crazy that it is really hard to understand what is really happening in this book. But with the humor that the characters have and the way the plot was turned into a comedy, it was a great read and kept me reading for quite a while.It would be more than reasonable to call this book a comedy novel or a memoir, because of how many good things it has. It is a funny novel with some dark elements but overall, I think that it was a really good read for a comedy novel. It should be loved by everyone who reads it.'Look What You Made Me Do: A Memoir' by Tina Fey and Robert Carlock is the best book written by either of them. Incorporating your interests, hobbies or anything you enjoy doing into your daily routine gives you something to look forward to and serves as a reward for accomplishing all the other unpleasant, dreaded job search tasks. The first one is here, dont forget to comment!   What does it take the succeed in 2009? No, not a 4 hour workweek, but Hustle Patience. Im glad  Get Rich Slowly  dispelled that other rumor. Every blog I read has blown up this week with the release of the book Career Renegade: How to Make a Great Living Doing What You Love. If youve read it, Id love to hear your comments! I havent read it, but I liked the interview that Zen Habits had with the author, Jonathan Fields especially because he truly believes that the money wont necessarily follow if you pursue what you love. I found decor8s Career Advice for Creatives post from June, had the feeling I had read it already. Then I realized I hadnt it was just such a similar story to my own that it felt familiar. I wish I had time to read the entire Archive, but for now Ill just link to Are Creative People Doomed to Scraping Out  A Miserable Experience? Powerful, powerful, powerful  stuff. And to end with the silly, every musical theater nerd out there should watch the Save Broadway sketch from SNL last week. For those of you who were a fan of Doogie Howser MD you have to watch this Digital Short, also from last weeks SNL. And in case you cant guess, Im in love with Neil Patrick Harris. For some reason, Luke is not threatened. If youre stuck in the cold the snow this weekend, enjoy it with some card games, some movies, a bath or two, some hot chocolate, a pair of flannel pjs a game of Monopoly.
